How we research and update construction content

How Subcontractor Leads researches, evaluates, updates, and corrects its educational content — and how we disclose our own commercial interest in it.

Who this content is for

Everything we publish is written for U.S. commercial subcontractors and estimators making real decisions about finding, evaluating, and bidding construction work. The test for any page is simple: would a working estimator find it accurate and useful? If not, it does not ship.

How we research

Our guidance draws on established construction practice and on public, verifiable sources. When content refers to public procurement, permits, or a named platform, we link to a primary source — for example the federal System for Award Management (SAM.gov) for public bids, or a provider's own official pages when we describe what it does. We do not reproduce pricing or feature claims that we cannot verify from a primary source, and we do not fabricate statistics.

How we compare platforms

Comparison content is criteria-led and neutral. We describe categories and the criteria that decide fit, and we name real platforms only when the description is grounded in their official materials or our research sources. We do not publish a numbered "best" ranking, and we do not rank Subcontractor Leads as a winner. Where our own service is relevant, we disclose plainly that it is prelaunch and cannot be compared against working products yet.

Commercial disclosure

Subcontractor Leads is a prelaunch commercial service. That is a real interest, and we state it wherever it could affect how you read a page. Our educational content is free and requires no sign-up; the only action we ask for is an optional, free early-access request. We do not present marketing as independent research.

Updates and corrections

Each content page carries a visible reviewed-and-updated date so you can judge how current it is. When facts change — a source moves, a requirement changes, or we get something wrong — we update the page and its date. If you spot an error, we want to fix it; a working contact method for corrections will be published as the site moves toward launch.

What we will not do

We will not invent named authors or an editorial team we do not have; authorship is attributed to the publisher, Subcontractor Leads. We will not claim active leads, verified contacts, pricing, exclusivity, guarantees, or customer results before they exist and can be checked. And we will not disguise our commercial interest as neutral advice.
